B Together 14th - 16th May 2018

Together we can reinvent business.

The UK B Corp Community is coming together to connect, challenge and celebrate what it means to reinvent business. Time together as a B Corp community is critical as we plot out the route to the tipping point we seek, where the B Corp approach becomes 'business as usual' in the UK.

In the stunning surroundings of West Lexham, Norfolk, we will be kicking off with a delicious dinner on the 14th May and departing after lunch on the 16th May. Join us to explore, create and B Together with other B Corps.

Why B Together?

Each year the B Corp community comes together to strengthen existing relationships and meet new businesses who have joined the community.

Conversations at the retreat go beyond the normal limitations of an email or networking event, they build over two nights (around a campfire).  This is where we collaborate, create and cement relationships that will reinvent business.

As B Corps we are on a journey to improve and re-evaluate our businesses. The retreat is the opportunity to listen, learn and challenge each other.

Over the two days, we will use the areas of the B Impact Assessment as talking points - to discuss areas that we can improve and learn from B Corps who are leading the change.

As a community our voices are stronger and our stories more powerful.

It's not often that together we celebrate our achievements as a business and a community. (The retreat is the perfect place for a humble brag!)

Together we've achieved so much, but there is still work to get to the tipping point we seek. The retreat is where together we can plot the route to create the change that we seek.

Why attend?

We rarely get the opportunity to step back from our increasingly hectic lives to meet like-minded people, have inspiring conversations and build a movement that is reinventing business. The B Corp community retreat is that once-a-year opportunity to build relationships, learn best practice and commit to actions that together will create change.

Agenda Announcement

This year we have an incredible line up of names, some you know well and some you don't (yet!). Our keynote presentation will be provided by John Elkington, as we approach the 25th anniversary since he coined the phrase the 'triple bottom line'. John will reflect on where we are now and challenge us - what would it take to bury the ‘single bottom line’?

See below for the full agenda.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I know what B Together is?

That depends whether you have been lucky enough to attend any of our previous community retreats. Leading on from the success of our first two retreats in 2016 and 2017, we are hosting B Together in May 2018. Our community has grown and our influence is growing and what better way to celebrate than bringing together over 130 people from the B Corp movement to spend 2 days learning, sharing and getting to know each other!

Who do I bring (and how many can attend)?

If you are part of the B Corp community and want to spend time with a diverse range of inspirational business leaders - you are invited! As we have limited places available, we are capping this to a maximum of TWO people per B Corp. (If you are from a large B Corp and want to bring more people please contact catherine@bcorporation.uk)

Anyone from your business can attend - we would recommend someone from your Senior team (Founder, CEO etc) and another person who is either responsible to for driving B Corp or someone who you would like to engage in B Corp.

We've wanted to visit West Lexham for the past 2 years but it's always been booked. Tucked away in the heart of the Norfolk countryside there are 21 acres filled with wildlife, chalk streams (ready for wild swimming), tree houses and of course a campfire! The magical family run site has been lovingly renovated with re-purposed materials, runs on biomass boilers and renewable energy, and importantly is run for future generations. We think it's great and we hope you do too!

Your retreat ticket includes all meals (Monday dinner to Wednesday lunch); tea and coffee; practical workshops; inspiring presentations and best-practice sharing; morning runs and walks around the grounds and evening campfires. The accommodation ticket includes two nights in your preferred accommodation - this includes towels and tea and coffee making facilities in all rooms.

Tickets are priced separately this year as there are a variety of accommodation options available and we want o ensure the retreat is as inclusive as possible.

We will be providing a transfer for the 15:44 train from London Kings Cross (arriving at Downham Market at 17:07). For departures we will provide a transfer from West Lexham to Downham Market for the 14:08 train to London Kings Cross (arrives at 15:30). We highly recommend booking these trains as if you arrive at a different time you will have to arrange your own transport to West Lexham.

All of our retreats are casual and we want you to be comfortable. If you want to partake in an activity, we recommend packing workout clothes and suitable walking shoes if you want to explore the grounds and a swimsuit for swimming. And...don't forget to bring any information about your organisation that you'd like to share with the rest of the B Corp community.
